About the role

Woods Bagot has landed in Auckland and we are off to a winning start. We are already experiencing rapid growth due to a number of project wins and we are looking for local talent to join our close knit team of highly talented architects and designers.

This is an exciting career move that will allow you to take ownership of components of larger scale projects to support the Project Leader. You will have a positive, and professional attitude towards clients and fellow co-workers.

You will have an eye for design, evident in your well put together portfolio and the ability to document independently using Revit is essential to securing this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

You will assist the Interior Design team in the delivery of a multi-disciplinary approach, crossing the boundaries between high end residential and hospitality design. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare concept designs with Senior Designers and/or Principals
  • Learn to confidently pitch and present for projects, competitions and potential clients
  • Prepare spatial planning, test fit and schematic design schemes
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants
  • Prepare tender documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Prepare construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants and suppliers as required

 

About you

As the successful candidate you will have past experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialised experience in the design and construction of interior design and architectural projects.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 3 + years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design field
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Revit skills essential. You must be capable of independently documenting in Revit
  • High End Residential or Hospitality experience highly regarded
  • Demonstrate sound skills in overarching concept design to design development
  • Technical knowledge and ability to developing fit out details and take the design through to documentation
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with suppliers and consultants
  • Familiar with New Zealand building regulations and standards
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
