About the role

The role will be based in our Los Angeles studio and will assist Principal’s and other Project Leaders to deliver projects with high quality design outcomes for our clients.

This position requires a strong all-rounder, with high level conceptual design skills supported by experience with commercial workplace projects.

This is a career growth opportunity, to upskill and work closely with Principals and Directors within both architecture and interiors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of concept designs through to practical completion
  • Prepare space planning, test fitting and schematic design schemes for commercial interior design projects
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants
  • Support bid/tender documentation packages including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Support construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Must be able to be hands on with documentation
  • Contribute to the culture and development of the interior design team

About you

As the successful candidate you will have experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialized experience in the design and construction of architectural projects.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 6+ years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design field
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design; Interior Architecture or Architecture
  • Revit skills essential
  • Demonstrate exceptional skills in concept design and narrative development
  • Stakeholder engagement and ability to lead client meetings
  • Ability to support multiple projects
  • Technical knowledge
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with clients and consultants
  • Familiar with USA building regulations and standards
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
  • Hand sketching skills desirable
