About the role

We are looking for an Interior Designer to join our vibrant Sydney Studio, working across multiple sectors but with an initial focus on workplace.

This is a career growth opportunity, to upskill and work closely with Senior Designers and Associates within both architecture and interiors.

At Woods Bagot we are collaborative in our approach and as such you will be an asset to our regional team, assisting on projects Australia wide to produce creative and effective designs for our clients.

You will have a positive, and professional attitude towards clients and fellow co-worker.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare concept designs with Senior Designers, to pitch for projects, competitions and potential clients
  • Prepare space planning, test fitting and schematic design schemes for interior design projects
  • Prepare design development presentations and documentation
  • Liaise with engineering services and specialist sub consultants
  • Prepare tender documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications
  • Prepare construction documentation package including drawings, schedules and specifications

About you

As the successful candidate you will have past experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You will have worked across various phases of projects and have an eagerness to learn and develop your skills further.

You will fit into a strong studio of high-performers and the existing team culture, as well as a possessing a passion for details and desire to learn.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 6+ years’ experience (or equivalent) working in the Interior Design field
  • Hold a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Strong experience with High-end Hospitality projects
  • Intermediate Revit skills and capability of using independently is essential
  • Demonstrate sound skills in overarching concept design to design development
  • Technical knowledge and ability to developing fit out details and take the design through to documentation
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with suppliers
  • Familiar with Australian building regulations and standards
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
