About the Role

As the Global Marketing Director for Woods Bagot (incl. ERA-co, Customs Bureau etc.), you will spearhead the marketing strategy, working closely with our global leadership team to drive growth and enhance our brand presence worldwide. Reporting directly to the Global CEO, you will oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies across various channels and markets.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in global marketing leadership and a deep understanding of digital and traditional marketing landscapes.

Please Note: We are open to this position being based in either Sydney or Melbourne. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.

Key areas of Responsibility:

Vision, Brand, and Identity Custodianship:

  • Partner with the Global Head of Brand to ensure that the vision, credo, and brand positioning are consistently reflected across all global markets. This includes conducting quarterly audits and reports, developing and implementing new initiatives, and maintaining robust oversight of brand standards. You will ensure that all marketing efforts align with and reinforce the brand’s global identity.

Growth Strategy & Customer Acquisition:

  • Develop and execute top-of-funnel marketing strategies to drive lead generation in growth markets such as North America, Europe, and the Middle East. Define and manage the global marketing budget, establish metrics for success, and connect strategies to our global CRM system. In more mature markets such as Australia and China, create powerful lead nurturing strategies to advance existing client relationships and maintain leadership.
  • Collaborate with the global client stream leadership to align marketing efforts with business objectives.

Digital Strategy – Metrics Development and Measurement:

  • Oversee the creation of a global omni channel digital strategy in collaboration with the Global Digital Marketing Lead. Ensure clear metrics and measurement are in place to support client acquisition and retention goals. Key digital initiatives include:
  • Paid Search: Manage and optimise paid search campaigns to drive targeted traffic and conversions.
  • Paid Social: Develop and execute paid social media campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Organic Search and Social: Oversee SEO and organic social media strategies to build long-term brand presence.
  • Customer Journey Modelling: Utilise Microsoft 365 Journey Maker for automating and optimising customer interactions.
  • Retargeting: Implement retargeting strategies to draw new clients into our marketing funnel to drive conversions.
  • Content Development: Oversee the creation of engaging content across various platforms.
  • Website: Manage CMS updates monthly and produce quarterly reports on website performance.
  • Podcast: Lead global internal media efforts, including podcast and video content development.
  • Measurement: Generate CEO quarterly analytics and results reports to guide strategic digital decisions.

Marketing Studio Management:

  • Manage the Studio, overseeing the production of creative content such as videos, podcasts, social media content, and graphic design.
  • Collaborate with the studio production leader to prioritise workflows and strategic goals.
  • Develop quarterly reports to assess efficiencies and measure progress against objectives.

Public Relations and Reputation Management:

  • Develop and implement a global PR strategy. Create localised media strategies for key regions including Europe, the Middle East, North America, China, and Australia.
  • Manage storyline development, global news stories, and media training for leadership.
  • Oversee PR agency relationships to ensure effective representation of the brand.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in global marketing leadership, preferably in a creative services or similar industry.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful customer acquisition, growth and digital strategies.
  • Strong skills in Marketing department management, content development, and PR strategy and execution.
  • Excellent analytical skills and experience with CRM and digital marketing metrics.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in managing and inspiring cross-functional teams.
