Architect or Designer – Immediate Start

About the role

We are looking for an all rounder to support our busy Perth studio for a 3 month contract role. Experience on rail projects advantageous. Potential opportunity to extend should the studio’s project pipeline permit.

This opportunity will allow you to work alongside experienced project leaders and designers, as part of a collaborative team and strong studio culture.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Project Leader in the ideation and evolution of the project
• Assist with resolving design issues
• Ability to communicate/understand sketches, 3D vignettes and drawings
• Undertake production of the project in Revit, in accordance with WB standards.
• Respond to project correspondence as directed by the Project Leader 
• Take direction from the Project Leader and collaborate with the wider team
• Capable of taking initiative where possible
   

About you

As the successful candidate you will have an eye for design and an eagerness to learn. 

You will be able to demonstrate:

• 5+ years post-graduate experience (or equivalent) working in the Architecture field
• Masters of Architecture
• Registration is a plus but not essential
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• Strong Revit competence essential
• Strong Rhino competence preferred 
• Rail experience advantageous
• Proven experience assisting with concept design & design development
• Ability to articulate design process and thinking
• Solid understanding of architectural documentation process and technical capabilities.
