An oasis of green amidst wild beauty and a view to savour through every window, Minthis Hills golf and residential estate blends the restorative power of nature with the luxury of 21st century living to create a way of life that’s rejuvenating and inspiring.
Woods Bagot has recently completed work on a new golf and residential estate above Pafos, Cyprus set on a mountainous 1,200 acre site with high hills and steep valleys.
Minthis Hills estate has brought a new vernacular to the virtues of sophisticated living. Reflecting Cypriot character and style, Woods Bagot incorporated traditional stone and rich wooden detail, creating a luxurious modern edge and an exquisite timeless design, fully exploiting the spectacular setting.

The Minthis Hills development provides 600 new residences, hidden amongst the surrounding natural landscape. A modernised golf clubhouse, and full leisure, recreation and relation facilities, including a 150 seat restaurant, bar, members lounge, function room, pro-shop, changing facilities, a gym, spike bar, and staff accommodation are also on offer.

Woods Bagot chose a 'barefoot luxury' concept for the private residences and clubhouse. Materials flow seamlessly from interior to exterior, such as stone walls, which are a distinctive feature. Ranging from four bedroom villas to townhouses, the dwellings provide individual design, artfully integrating the properties with the beauty of the site.
The clubhouse serves as the social heart for both club members and the community. The design responds to the site, enjoying spectacular panoramic views of the golf course valley and distant Trodos Mountains.
Sitting on the restaurant terrace, you are presented with a full 180-degree view of the golf course, from end to end. The 2,200m² building features two levels with the entrance and public level on the top floor.
The massive stone blocks represent the buildings of the nearby hill villages and the lightweight restaurant terrace connects these together with public space. The stone blocks house the formal lounge and administration functions with more controlled lighting and services - light and casual in contrast to solid and formal.
Rob Steul, Woods Bagot’s Head of Lifestyle, Europe, says: “The Minthis Hills development was an opportunity to redefine the market offer for Cyprus and reposition Pafos as a leading destination for high quality design."
"We were engaged throughout the early stages of Brief Development, feasibility, commercial and marketing advice, allowing us to be fully engulfed in the estate development. The overall architecture and interiors blur the boundaries between inside and outside, exuding a closeness to nature and luxury throughout.”
Woods Bagot was engaged by Pafilia Property Developers in 2007 to provide masterplanning, architectural and interior design services for the clubhouse and ten villa typologies. The development was completed in early 2012.
