Woods Bagot is redeveloping the existing St John’s Evangelist site into a best practice model Catholic Leadership Centre. This centre will provide integral professional and leadership development of teachers and principals in the Catholic Education System. The design will re-define the centre as a key learning centre and conference facility within the tertiary Catholic community.

The design for the centre is underpinned by a respect for the heritage of the site and the desire to integrate this history with contemporary, unique, functional spaces that together provide a unified campus masterplan. Key to the transformation of the existing buildings is the idea of celebrating the original interiors and injecting new clean flexible furniture along with contemporary lighting and technology solutions.

Previous success with educational centres across Australia has led to the establishment of a high-functioning team of specialist knowledge within Woods Bagot. This team, led by Director Mark Kelly, has not only created the foundations for a knowledge centre, but also established a design that will develop and strengthen the sense of student community and celebrate the tradition and excellence of the Catholic education system.
