SA Tourism is a project which aims to create a collaborative and fun interactive space. This new environment is based on many sustainable principles, which were part of the client vision.
The fit out located in the new 5 Star Green Star building, City Central Tower 2, lies across two floors which are interconnected by an internal staircase. This internal stair further encourages collaboration between the two floors and assists staff health and well being.
Each level focuses on an internal built zones with the workstations arranged around the perimeter taking advantage of the abundant natural light this site has to offer. A heavy consultation regarding the workstation environment has allowed for low screen heights to workstations with flexible screen elements to further assist natural light penetration. Glare control is also managed thought the fit out via blinds to the perimeter of the building and zoned appropriately for users.
Breaking up the sophisticated environment are fun elements of bold colour which symbolize the informal meeting zones encouraging interaction between staff members.
The fit out was designed environmentally responsible; joinery was designed as modular elements and a furniture like aesthetic for relocation at end of life. Furniture and finishes used throughout the fit out were also selected for their environmental properties, with a green wall incorporating planting (improving air quality) being located in the breakout and balcony zones.
The overall affect was a classic timeless palette with fun bold coloured splashes, sporadically arranged throughout the workspace complimented by graphics that capture the essence of SA Tourism.
