Woods Bagot is pleased to announce the launch of its new design studio in Shanghai, China’s most cosmopolitan financial hub.
The Shanghai studio is headed up by Mark Unger, Principal, and boasts a team of 35 talented architects, urban planners and interior designers. Woods Bagot has been present in Asia for the past 25 years with established studios in
Hong Kong and Beijing and many key development projects across China. The opening of the Shanghai studio is a natural progression of Woods Bagot’s growth strategy in Asia.
With a 140 year legacy, today Woods Bagot is one of the most recognised architectural practices operating globally. In July 2009, Woods Bagot was recognised as the ‘International Practice of the Year’ at the prestigious AJ100 Awards in London.
Woods Bagot was also the first architectural firm to be recognised for its commitment to research and knowledge in the 2008 and 2009 Asian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Award.
In China, Woods Bagot is actively involved in shaping many fast-developing cities, with more than 60 developmental projects in locations such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Tianjin, Chongqing, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Changsha and Shijiazhuang.
Mark Unger joins Vince Pirrello, Asia Executive Chairman and Stephen Jones, Principal and leader of the Hong Kong studio to form a talented and dynamic Asian Region Executive team. We wish them all the best in their endeavours.
