Queensland Health appointed Woods Bagot, in conjunction with Billard Leece as Principal Consultant and Architect for the Princess Alexandria Hospital (PAH). The Project Team's role includes undertaking Preliminary Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Documentation to be issued for Tender and Construction.

The resultant master plan and design employed the Woods Bagot design intelligence framework resulting in a major reform to the existing masterplan and therefore significantly improved functionality within the existing facility, provided for immediate service demand increases and produced a pragmatic future proofing solution

The design works has been divided into three stages, reflecting redevelopment of the Emergency Department and MAPU, relocation of the Emergency Medical Retrievals Helipad to the rooftop and re-development of Cancer Services including provision of three new linear accelorator bunkers.
