Situated on the Placencia Peninsula in Belize, the site extends across the width of the peninsula from the Caribbean Sea to the unique mangrove ecology of the Placencia Lagoon.

Woods Bagot is developing a masterplan for a 5 star+ eco focus resort and a variety of freehold properties. The location of the site in a hurricane zone has led to careful consideration of materiality and building form.

The resort will feature a 40 storey hotel bungalow which overlooks the Caribbean sea and will feature private courtyards, plunge pools, outdoor bathroom and extensive decking. In addition there will be approximately 100 freehold dwellings situated in different zones within the masterplan. These include houses set in tropical gardens, those with beach frontage and unique houses situated within the mangroves.

The resort hotel development will provide unique facilities including a luxury spa and health club, a variety of restaurants for resort guests, freehold residence and the broader community.
