Located in Mauritius, an island often described as ‘paradise’, Woods Bagot is developing a masterplan on the relatively undeveloped South Eastern coast. The site stretches over 800m of coastal frontage, flanked on either side by public beaches.
Influenced by the inherent beauty of the site, the masterplan has been designed to preserve and enhance the natural features, to minimise site intervention and maximise sea views from the site. Unique landscape features include rock pools remodelled with basalt on the existing rocky beach, and the retention of mature trees on site.
The exclusive development will be based around a beach front hotel featuring individual bungalows with private plunge pools, courtyards and uninterrupted sea views. 200 hotel branded residences are also arranged with a focus on sea views and will be set within landscaped gardens.
Other resort facilities include a luxury spa retreat, sports/health club and hotel serviced beach clubs for the guests and residents of the resort.
