International law firm Eversheds has set Woods Bagot the challenge of creating a leading edge law firm to attract and retain the best fee earners in London. The terms ‘leading edge’ and ‘law firm’ rarely go hand in hand, but Woods Bagot is looking forward to introducing the legal market to high-end style finance floors, luxurious business lounges, service driven support facilities and lifestyle inspired team spaces.
The new 15,000m2 London headquarters will act as an international hub for its regional offices, with a large number of regional lawyers visiting on a daily basis. To accommodate this, there is a requirement for 4,000m2 of meeting, dining and training suites as well as deal rooms and mediation suites for opposing council.
Eversheds has strategic growth plans over the next few years of a predicted 50% as they seek to establish themselves as a prominent city law firm. Flexibility is a major driver, so an innovative ‘studio’ approach has been designed for all fee earner spaces. We are planning for 750 staff over seven levels in the new address.
The project is due for completion July 2008.
