What's Next? The Future of Sustainable Workplaces

A substantial shift has occurred in the awareness, understanding and adoption of sustainable built environment solutions that look to address the global sustainability agenda.  But what and where to next?

Earle Arney from Woods Bagot will present the findings of Woods Bagot research gathered in Asia, Australia, Europe, Middle East and the USA.  The research is based on interviews conducted with leading thinkers, scientists, innovators, and property and sustainability thought leaders with a view to determining what they believe the future holds in terms of ESD and how this will affect the property industry.

Earle, along with Matthew Jessup from Lincolne Scott, will present a case study of City Central Tower 1, which has re-defined the speculative commercial market in Australia through its sustainability initiatives. Lincolne Scott worked with Woods Bagot and the development team to arrive at the end solution which employs the largest application of chilled beams in Australia.  In addition, Earle and Matthew will briefly outline studies that illustrate the emergence of carbon and waste zero projects and cities that are taking sustainability to the next level.
