The scheme delivers an innovative and dynamic office space which reinforces the Cisco philosophy of transforming life’s experiences through technology and enhancing communication and flexibility, not only in the working environment, but throughout the entire space.
In addition to the usual meeting and presentation suites, the scheme includes customer hosting facilities showcasing the Cisco product including Telepresence (enhanced video conference), Digital Media Signage and Connected Real Estate – where the environment is controlled through the Cisco product.
The working area is non-dedicated and flexible, catering for all working styles and needs – from open and noisy collaboration spaces to intensive quiet and concentrated solo work – all without loss in productivity thanks to Cisco technology.
Pre-existing building elements have been retained or re-used where ever possible. Existing ceilings have been retained, and where the end use requires alterations for acoustics, the tiles have been re-used in the new locations, with surface mounted fittings used to limit cutting tiles.
The Cisco London City project has been designed and built with future use - and change - in mind. The finishes used were selected to ensure that they are warranted for a long serviceable life and have a continuity of supply for the life of the office. Flooring is in tiles form with the carpets textured to hide spillages and is easily replaced without disruption to the office if the unfortunate happens.
