Woods Bagot was the architect for the clinical services block which included 10 major departments, including medical research laboratories, newborn and paediatric intensive-care facilities, imaging department and stores. All medical research areas are particularly highly serviced with a broad range of equipment requiring highly engineered supply of gases, power, air, special water, safety measures and equipment, and removal of toxic wastes and unwanted by-products.
